House Dres

The infamous House of slave-owning plantation lords has long been the masters of Ald Raathim, and their council has been cajoled, blackmailed, and even reasonably talked into supporting first Jazbet and now Loranna as the steward of the land.

Traditional enemies of the Empire and supporters of the Temple, it was natural that Queen Elysana of Wayrest approached them first when looking for allies in her cold war against her stepbrother Helseth. Several knights of the House joined the parade of the Incarnate Mother in order to topple the King from power.

As times have changed, so has the nature of the House, which is now through diplomacy and a smart marriage to Dinara, became King Helseth’s greatest ally in the Civil War of Morrowind.

Several House members have played significant roles in the events of recent times.

Dres Vendama

Dres Obael

Dinara’s twin brother, handsome, flirtatious, and goodhearted, and the seducer of Ald Raathim's last Harvest Princess. He is currently imprisoned in Indoril-controlled Bodrom Mora.

Dres Minsero

The crusty not-easily-impressed senior council of House Dres. He was not inclined towards supporting either Jazbet or Loranna in their holding of Ald Raathim, but in both cases, he was won over. His domain, Tel Dresori, was the backdrop of a recent horrific episode, when Diodata vampires led by Bathogorgen vampires fell upon it like locusts. Ashana’s power so dominated Dres Minsero’s mind that he lost all reason, despite the ministrations of Ald Raathim’s Temple of Healer’s asylum. His secret son, Zadion, brought him to Alinor in the Summerset Isle when the magister relocated there. There are some reports of progress in Minsero's condition, but he still is amnesiac and confused.

Dres Raithmat

The late, monstrous master of Ald Raathim, and Jazbet's father. He met his end, poisoned by his daughter, at the instruction of Kethiah. Decades later, his vengeful spirit returned to Ald Raathim to demand that Loranna give the land to his rightful heir, Jazbet’s son Seres. The heroes eventually were able to destroy his spectre and end his terror forever.

Dres Seresina

Raithmat’s daughter, and heiress. It was she, with the help of her knight Jazbet, who ended slavery in Ald Raathim. On her death, she willed the land to her champion, Jazbet.

Dres Jazbet

The late, first husband of Loranna, who on his death, left Ald Raathim to his wife.

Dres Gaor

A wealthy member of the House and one of the "pilgrims" who joined the Incarnate Mother's crusade. In a final bid to discredit Helseth, he commited suicide, blaming the King for all his and Morrowind's troubles.
